Hamayuchi Observation Rest Facility (Kouhoneno-ie)
This rest facility is located in Rishiri Rebun Sarobetsu National Park. From the rooftop, it is an excellent viewpoint from which you can see Rishiri Fuji towering over the Sea of Japan and beautiful sunsets.
From early summer to summer, water lily-like flowers called "kohone" bloom, and the area around the swamp is also filled with native flowers, such as Japanese honeysuckle and Ezo kanzo. Next to the rest area, there is a monument to Hisaya Morishige, an actor who visited the area to film a TV drama.
