兜沼の近くでは、樹齢1,200年、高さ14ｍのオンコ（イチイ）の樹である “言問の松” をみることができます。
Near Kabutonuma, you can see "Kototoi no Pine," which is an Onko (Japanese Yew) tree, 1,200 years old and 14m tall.

平安時代からこの兜沼にあると言われており、切り倒そうとすると病にかかったり怪我をしたりしたため、それ以降は神のお告げがあるとして、この土地の守り神となっています。
From the Heian period, it is said to be in this Kabutonuma, and when one tried to cut it down, they fell ill or were injured, therefore since then, as there is a divine message, it has become the guardian deity of this land.

木の後ろのネットは、木への風よけのために設置されています。
The net behind the tree has been installed for wind protection for the tree.

イチイは町の木となっている他、北海道の名木としても、各種の本などでも紹介されています。
