Tanaka Sake Brewery Kamekozo
A rare sake brewery in Japan that brews year-round
Tanaka Sake Brewery Kamekozo is located in a group of stone warehouses built around 1905 (Meiji 38) and designated as a "historical building" by Otaru City. Tanaka Shuzo Kamekozo brews local sake all year round, using 100% Hokkaido rice.
Sake brewing is conducted every day, and visitors can tour the production area at any time. After the tour, visitors can enjoy a tasting of Takaragawa, a representative brand of sake, as well as other sake produced exclusively at the brewery. For those who cannot drink sake, amazake and black bean tea tasting are also available.
