Otaru Music Box Museum Main Building
Heavenly music descended upon Otaru. This is one of Japan's largest music box specialty stores, and the steam clock at Marchen Crossroads is its landmark. The building is a historic structure built in 1915, and preserves the history of Otaru in its good old days. The nostalgic space and the exquisite harmony created by the music boxes create a fantastical experience that can only be experienced here.
With approximately 38,000 music boxes across approximately 3,200 different varieties, the largest number in Japan, these music boxes are extremely popular as mementos of a visit to Otaru and as gifts for loved ones.
