Half Moon Lake Nature Park
A volcanic lake with an average depth of 4m and a maximum depth of 18.2m, located about 270m above sea level at the northwestern foot of Mt. It is located within the Shikotsu-Toya National Park and is designated as a national natural monument. From May to September, visitors can enjoy the changing scenery of the four seasons and the changing nature.
Due to construction work, the Lake Half Moon Lake Campground, public restrooms and parking lot will be closed during the following period.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, but please use the parking lot and restrooms at Lake Hanketsu Nature Park during the closure period.

① There is an entrance information sign at Aza-Hirau, Kutchan-cho, National Route 5. The blue color is a landmark.
(2) Go straight from the entrance and you will see the sign again. Go left to the Hangetsu Lakeside Nature Park and straight ahead to the trailhead of the Mt.
(3) Go up the stairs by the restrooms to reach the Half Moon Lake Tourist Area.
(4) Walk for about 10 minutes and you will see a signpost to the lakeside. From there, it is a 5-minute walk to the lakeside.
