Yotei
Mt. Yotei, popularly known as Ezo Fuji, is one of the 100 most famous mountains in Japan and a representative of Hokkaido.
Yotei is a beautiful stratovolcano with an oval crater at its summit about 2 km in circumference, and is called Ezo Fuji because of its resemblance to Mt.
From early July to early August, more than 100 species of alpine plants bloom at an altitude of over 1,700 meters, and more than 130 species of wild birds inhabit the area. Nature is protected in its pristine state and is used for outdoor recreation such as mountain climbing and nature observation.
