SPOT
Hachimanzaka Slope
Hachimanzaka Slope was named so because it is said that Hakodate Hachimangu Shrine was once located at the top of the slope, and it is popular as a representative scenic spot of Hakodate. This slope is a road that leads from the Red Brick Warehouse district to Mt. Hakodate, and the view from below Hakodate Nishi High School at the end of the slope is particularly spectacular.
It is also known as a former commercial filming location and is affectionately called 'Charmy Green Slope'. Additionally, during the 'Hakodate Illumination' period in winter, the roadside trees and stone pavement are beautifully lit up, offering visitors the charm of a different season.
