SPOT
Ariake Dam is a gravity-type concrete dam with a crest height of 21.7 m and a length of 250 m constructed in the Ariake district of Hatsuyamabetsu Village. It is used for flood control and river environment conservation, and is the first dam in Hokkaido under the "Subsidy Program for Flood Control Dam Construction Projects.
