SPOT
Heiwaen Main Store
A long-established yakiniku restaurant founded in 1959. It was a pioneer in yakiniku-style Genghis Khan in Japan, and even today, just as it was back then, they purchase high-quality mutton whole carcasses and cut each piece by hand.
They also have a wide selection of locally produced meat, with the tripe, hanging tenderloin, and tongue in particular offering the freshness and quality you'd expect from Tokachi, the meat kingdom.
The prices are surprisingly reasonable, and it's easy to see why this restaurant has been a long-time favorite with locals.
