Former Sorachi Penitentiary Warden Official Residence Brick Chimney
Overview
It is the site of the official residence of the warden (prison director) of the Sorachi Shujikan (current prison) that was established from Meiji 15 to 34.
Sorachi Shujikan was established mainly for the purpose of employing prisoners at Horonai Coal Mine.
