Cape Kutsugata Park

This park is popular as a place where you can see from Mt. Rishiri to Rebun Island in one view. There is a monument to a poem by "Shigure Otoha," a lyricist from Rishiri Town. In the lyrics of the song, "Dodon Dodon Dodon," the local people call Cape Kutsugata "Cape Dodon" (meaning "overcoming the waves"). In the park, visitors can see flowers of coastal plants such as black lilies, Ezo kanzo, Chishimafuro, and Hamanasu, depending on the season. There are also campgrounds and a mini-visitor center.
*Public restrooms are available on the park grounds.
