SPOT
Rishiri Island Station Seaweed Village Rishiri
The building is the oldest building in Rishiri, and is the former site of a 130-year-old marine products wholesaler, Kanenoue Watanabe Shoten. Currently, the building is used as a base for making, exhibiting, and experiencing Rishiri seaweed leaves, as well as a community space where information about the island is disseminated and local events are held. It is also home to the Ishizo Cultural Gallery, a café, and a sales corner, making it a place where visitors can spend a relaxing time even on rainy days. Admission and viewing of the stone storehouse gallery are free. (The gallery is not heated, so please dress warmly in winter.)
