SPOT
Rishiri Island Family Campsite Yuni
The campground is located across from the "Rishiri Fuji Onsen Recreation Facility". Around the campground are the Sakae-cho Campsite Ruins (historical site), where stone tools were discovered as the first human remains on Rishiri Island. Since this is a historical trace site on Rishiri Island and the history of the area is closely related to the Ainu people, the campground was named "Y~ni," which means "a place with hot water" in Ainu language (since a hot spring is located right next door). The cottages and bungalows in the facility are built with universal design in mind.
