Kiyosato Shochu Brewery
Behind the European-style brewery of Kiyosato Shochu Brewery flows the cool, clear water of the Shari River, voted the clearest in Japan.
Shari, and the fertile soil, which is as fertile as the extremely cold climate, produces abundant potatoes, and Kiyosato Shochu is made from this water and potatoes.
Supported by the bounty of the region, we contribute to the region by refining that bounty. In such a circle, Kiyosato Shochu pursues a better flavor. Although we are a small brewery, we deliver shochu of reliable quality through handmade preparation and slow storage and aging.
Kiyosato Shochu offers free tours of the brewery. Tours are available for small groups, so please stop by when you visit East Hokkaido.
