Situated at the foot of Mount Shari, one of Japan's 100 Famous Mountains and the town's greatest symbol, its vast and gentle slopes are home to an endlessly beautiful and fertile expanse of farmland.
The climate is cool and refreshing, characteristic of the Okhotsk region, making summers exceptionally pleasant, while in winter, the landscape transforms into a mystical, silvery-white world.
