SPOT
The date of establishment is unknown, but legend has it that the shrine was founded by Orii Uba in 1447 (Bun'an 4), about 570 years ago. It was moved from Tsuhana-cho to its current location in 1644. It is the oldest shrine in Hokkaido, and was granted the Shoichi ubajin Daijinsha miyagata by the Emperor in 1817.
