Horoshiri-dake
Horoshiri-dake, 2,052 meters above sea level, is the highest mountain in the Hidaka Mountains Erimo Quasi-National Park and has been popularly known as "Poro-shiri," which means "big mountain" in Ainu language. It is very popular among alpinists as a mountain full of attractions, such as the curled ground near the summit, which is covered with alpine flowers every summer, the abundant flora and fauna, and the panoramic view of the Hidaka Mountains from the top of the mountain.
