Located along Route 235, Hangankan Forest Park covers a vast area of about 66 hectares, with Hangankan Cape overlooking the Pacific Ocean and a virgin broadleaf forest where visitors can stroll along walking trails and play vigorously in the field athletic facilities while viewing a rich variety of flowers and wild birds. The campground is also close to downtown Shinkan and the Thoroughbred Ginza area, a series of ranches, making it a popular destination for visitors from inside and outside of Hokkaido.
