This campground is spread out along the Saru River at the foot of the Hidaka Mountains. The sprawling 220,000 m² site is perfect for playing in the river and enjoying forest bathing. It features 103 auto sites and 100 free tent sites, along with a barbecue house, bungalows, and cooking facilities. A dog run is also available, and pets are welcome.

2. Nibutani Family Land (Biratori Town)

Nibutani Family Land Campground offers bungalows, auto sites, and free sites. Nearby, you'll find sports facilities like a baseball field, tennis courts, a gateball field, and a park golf course. There's also a plaza with popular battery-powered cars and playground equipment for children, making it perfect for family fun.

3. Hangandate Forest Park Campground (Niikappu Town)

Hangandate Forest Park spans a vast 66 hectares, encompassing Cape Hangan which overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and is covered in a native broadleaf forest. You can enjoy strolling along walking paths while observing a rich variety of flowers and wild birds, or have fun on the field athletics course. Its proximity to downtown Niikappu and the 'Thoroughbred Ginza,' an area famous for its horse ranches, makes it a popular spot.

The campground offers comfortable and spacious 'partitioned sites' as well as 'free sites' where pets are welcome. For beginners, the 'Empty-Handed Camping' plan is highly recommended, allowing you to enjoy camping easily without the hassle of setting up or taking down a tent. 5. Niseu Eco-Land (Biratori Town)

This campground features spacious sites where you can drive in with your car or camper van, and is equipped with comfortable facilities to fully enjoy the outdoor life. Besides activities like park golf and fishing, you can also observe wild fireflies. The site is fully equipped with cooking areas, clean flush toilets, coin showers, and vending machines.

6. Family Park Oiwake Campground (Abira Town)

This is a free-site auto camping ground where you can even enjoy winter camping. The facilities are well-equipped, including a private campsite where you can drive your car right into the dog run, drive-in auto sites, coin showers, a cooking area, and a cafeteria. A park golf course is also on-site.

This is a free-site campground located within Tokiwa Park. Surrounded by a rich natural environment, it's a great place to connect with nature through activities like bird watching and insect observation. 8. Hobetsu Campground (Mukawa Town)

Hobetsu Campground was created with the desire to 'keep it as natural as possible.' It is popular for its spacious grassy tent sites and bungalows. The bungalows are charmingly named after fairytale characters like 'Gulliver,' 'Pinocchio,' and 'Nils.' Here, you can fully enjoy forest bathing, bird watching, and foraging for wild edible plants.
