Hokkaido Dawn's Tower

To commemorate the 800th anniversary of its founding, it is a symbol tower of Kaminokuni, built on the hilly area of Hachiman Makino, Medieval Hill.

This tower was designed with the encounter between medieval environmental shaping and modern sensibility shaping, and the interaction between nature such as the sun and wind and humans, as its basic themes.
The tower, which forms the center of the whole, is composed of a double octagonal pyramid, and the spiral staircase expresses a strong will towards the future.
The mesh-patterned outer wall resonates in various ways with the strong winds unique to this region, making a tone reverberate and subtly changing the sun's brilliance.

Earthworks and rows of fences, which are modern shapings of the constituent elements of medieval mountain castles, spread out centering on the tower.
The three paths opened in the oval earthworks surrounding the "Sun Plaza" indicate the direction of the sunrise on the winter solstice, spring and autumn equinoxes, and summer solstice, and when you stand in the center of the tower, you can see the sun, which announces the changes of the four seasons, rising.
