Kinzan Valley
Overview
Kinzan Valley is located in the upper reaches of the Tadatari River. As the name suggests, it used to be the entrance to the Nemuro Gold Mine. There are Otoko-daki (male waterfall) and Onna-daki (female waterfall), where a legend of buried gold nuggets remains.
Today, in addition to being a popular spot for fishing and skiing, Shibetsu is a representative scenic spot where visitors can enjoy the dazzling fresh greenery in spring and the beautiful autumn foliage in fall.
