Lake Saroma
92 km in circumference, the largest lake in Hokkaido
Lake Saroma is the largest lake in Hokkaido and the third largest in Japan, with a circumference of 92 km.
Scallops and oysters are cultivated, and Hokkaishi shrimps are fished.
Various flowers can be seen in the surrounding area, including bright red coral grass and skunk cabbage.
