So popular that it's even featured on LINE stickers! Who is "Shiroppy" from Shiroishi Ward, Sapporo?
Did you know that there is a popular character in Shiroishi Ward, Sapporo City, that only a few people know about? This is Shiroishi Ward's official mascot character, "Shiroppy." I heard that he was very cute, so I went to meet him.
After meeting the much talked about Shiroppy in person, I was convinced. With a pure white body and watery eyes, he's so cute!
Shiroppi's birthday is July 2008. He was created through a public contest, with the motif of a snowman, which is associated with the "white" of Shiroishi Ward, and the rose, which is the flower of Shiroishi Ward. Indeed, he is very stylish, with a rose decoration on his head.
In addition to being the official mascot of Shiroishi Ward, Shiroppy also has important roles such as the special chief of the Shiroishi Ward Neighborhood Association Membership Promotion Division and the Sapporo Convention Center Goodwill Ambassador. He also appears at various events, so he's quite busy, isn't he?
