A Beautiful Star on Earth: Hakodate's "Goryosei no Yume" and More [Hokkaido Mirai Note (72)]
From the wonderful photos of Hokkaido taken and submitted by all of you, we're excited to introduce three carefully selected posts again this time!
Goryosei no Yume (Hakodate City)
The Goryosei no Yume is a winter event at Hakodate's Goryokaku.
Goryokaku is Japan's one-and-only star-shaped fort.
In winter, its perimeter is lit up with 2,000 light bulbs, making a star shine brightly in the Hakodate night.

For a limited time in winter, Goryokaku Park in Hakodate City is illuminated, lighting up in a beautiful star shape.💡
If you view it from the Goryokaku Tower observatory after sunset, you can enjoy the stars in the sky and the star on the ground at the same time.
A stroll around the moat of Goryokaku Park is also lovely!✨
A Christmas Tree Made of Firewood (Tsurui Village)
I found a very lovely Christmas illumination on a road I always take.
It was a wonderful sight that warmed my heart.

It's so exciting to make a new discovery on a familiar road! This photo captures such a wonderful moment.📷
A tree made not from an upright tree but from chopped and split firewood is so innovative.👀
It's a tree that brings to mind fireplaces and gives off a feeling of warmth.🌲
Shoveling Snow Together (Shosanbetsu Village)
On a day of heavy snow, my grandchild helped out, which made shoveling snow fun.
Even though shoveling snow is usually a tough job to do alone, when everyone pitches in, it gets done faster. This is how we get through the harsh winter.

This season, various parts of Hokkaido were hit with record-breaking heavy snowfall. It must have been tough for everyone.
Even so, shoveling snow with your children and grandchildren must be a joy.⛄
We can almost hear the children's happy voices!
