When you hear the name "Iwamizawa Park," people living in the suburbs may think, "Well, that's where Greenland is located," or "It's famous for roses, isn't it? In fact, Iwamizawa Park has a spot called "Gazebo" where you can see a spectacular view! Let's go there right away!

Iwamizawa Park is a large-scale urban park covering an area of about 183 hectares, about one hour away from Sapporo City. The park itself is located on a hilly terrain, but the gazebo is on an even higher hill.

First, go to the parking lot on top of the mountain. If you walk, it takes about 30 minutes from the entrance of the amusement park. There is a barrier-free walking path leading to the gazebo right beside the parking lot, so follow the path. Then you will see ...... just ahead.

The gazebo is a magnificent building! The building itself is 8.7 meters high, and when you reach the top, a wonderful view spreads out below you. This gazebo was built in 2004.

You can see not only Iwamizawa Park, but also the tree-lined avenue that traverses your field of vision, as well as fields and mountains on the other side. Gazing at this vast green landscape, one feels as if one's heart is also expanding and growing larger.

The Ferris wheel of Greenland can be seen to the northwest. Everything looks so small from the gazebo that it is just like a diorama world. The view of the sky and the earth spreading out in all directions is something that can only be seen in Hokkaido.

The gazebo can be easily visited by anyone, as there is a parking lot and a well-maintained promenade. This wonderful view can be seen from spring to fall from 9:00 to 17:00. It is closed during the winter months due to danger.
