This time we will introduce the naki-rabbit. They live in the Daisetsu Mountains of Hokkaido and the cool mountainous areas of Tokachi. They are about the size of a clenched fist and prefer to live in rocky areas known as gareba.

If you notice it, you can find it there.

They can even appear nearby.

The best time to encounter them in the mountains is from when the snow melts on the mountains until it piles up again. In a day, you are most likely to encounter them in the morning.

However, it is difficult to find a small naki-rabbit in a gully of rugged rocks. The reason why you can still find them is because of their distinctive high-pitched "bleep" call. When we looked for them, we found them here.

Autumn observation is a particular favorite. The contrast between the yellow and orange colors of the mountains is a tasteful sight.

As winter approaches, snow falls on the mountains one step ahead. A little snow is nothing to worry about.

The naki-rabbit likes to live in cool places. If you go into the mountains in search of coolness with the naki-rabbit, make sure you have the proper mountaineering gear.

Even now, the naki-rabbit is probably running around in a gully somewhere.
