Asahiyama Kinen Park, where the city of Sapporo spreads out below and a pleasant breeze passes through. Asahiyama Kinen Park is a place of recreation and relaxation for Sapporo citizens. It sells lunch boxes and other items that are handmade on the spot.

The store is a "café and store themed around nature, including forests, trees, and flowers," and the interior is spacious and has a cozy atmosphere.

There are five types of handmade bento boxes to choose from. I was told that the bentos are handmade on the spot, but to my surprise, they are not leftovers, but made to order! The reason for this is because they want you to taste the freshly made deliciousness.

The bento comes in a cute lunch box. This time, we will introduce two of the five bento dishes we have carefully selected.

First is the "Zangi bento" (500 yen including tax). It contains a large, well-seasoned zangi (Japanese-style dumpling) in a hearty and satisfying portion! The taste is surely doubled when you enjoy it while taking in the spectacular view of Asahiyama Kinen Park.

The "Roast Pork Bowl" (650 yen including tax), introduced next, is also highly recommended. The roast pork is covered with a thick layer of roast pork and dipped in a special sweet and spicy homemade sauce...it's addictive! Your meal will go down the drain. Incidentally, this rest house is operated by the NPO "Hand to Hand" and uses naturally grown vegetables from the fields of the "Hand to Hand" labor support center.

If you get thirsty while strolling in the park, why not buy a drink? The "Ichigo Miruku" (400 yen including tax) has just the right amount of sweetness to soak into your tired body.

The soft-serve ice cream is also very special. The "Soft Cream from Nishi-Okobe Village" (waffle cone, 400 yen including tax) is made with milk from healthy cows raised on the Hagiwara Farm in Nishi-Okobe Village. It is a type of soft serve ice cream that you can eat as if you were drinking it, while still feeling the full flavor of the milk.

In addition to delicious gourmet foods, many goods are sold in the store. Original goods of Asahiyama Memorial Park made by "hand to hand" and goods of Shimaena-ga created by an artist are all cute and unique! And most of them are only available for purchase here.

There are also many products that you can't help but want to pick up, such as safe and delicious jams and tomato sauces made by "hand to hand". They are planning to sell more and more vegetables, so it may be possible in the future that people will come to Asahiyama Kinen Park to buy fresh, naturally grown vegetables.

The Asahiyama Kinen Park Rest House is a space packed with charm, so be sure to stop by. Normally open until 5:00 p.m., the rest house is open until 9:00 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays before national holidays for those who come to view the night scenery. They are also open until 9:00 p.m. on full moon days. It is such a chic and nice rest house.
