We went to Sudare Falls, a mini frozen waterfall that appears only during the winter on Mt. Muroran!

We've finally arrived! A spectacular view awaits at the end of the adventure

As we went further, we heard a rustling sound coming from deep within the dead forest. As we headed towards the sound, we came across a mini icefall about 6-7m high! We had arrived at Sudare Falls!

The sound of water droplets falling from the top of the waterfall was the sound. Depending on the season and weather, the waterfall can still be small, or it can freeze over so solidly that no droplets fall, making it a spectacular sight that you will never see again!

You can get very close to the waterfall, so you can touch the frozen waterfall, look inside the waterfall, eat lunch while looking at it, and try any other way you can think of to have fun. Of course, breaking the ice or throwing trash is prohibited.

There were no other visitors that day, so we had the luxury of having this natural work of art all to ourselves. Even though it was a small icefall, having it all to ourselves was a rare and fascinating experience! Once you've fully enjoyed the beauty of nature, head back the way you came. Going down to the river means going uphill on the way back, so take another break depending on your energy! After descending, warm up your cold body with some Muroran specialty "curry ramen" before heading back!

<Please note> When entering the mountains, be sure to carry suitable equipment, a map, a headlamp, etc., and thoroughly research the route before starting your climb. If it is your first time or you are unsure of your physical strength, we recommend consulting with or being accompanied by an experienced climber.
