I will be narrating the details from here.
What are Rishiri and Rebun islands like?
Rishiri and Rebun islands are located in the Sea of Japan, approximately 52-60 km west of Wakkanai City. On Rishiri Island, Mt. Rishiri rises 1721 meters above sea level and has been selected as one of Japan's 100 most famous mountains, and on Rebun Island, about 300 species of alpine plants bloom from spring to summer.
Many visitors come to the island every year to enjoy alpine flora, and the reason for this is that it is the northernmost remote island. Flowers that are usually seen by climbing high mountains can be seen here at a height of 0 meters above sea level.
Activities on Rishiri and Rebun Island
The island is rich in nature, which is why there are a variety of activities to be experienced. The 50-km-long nature trail on Rebun Island offers a variety of walking courses that allow you to stroll through flower fields and look down on the beautiful ocean and other scenic spots. You can enjoy 7 different types of trail courses with different attractions.
Rishiri, also known as "Rishiri Fuji" due to its majestic appearance, offers marine sports such as sea kayaking and sap in the crystal clear waters in summer, and backcountry skiing and snowshoe trekking in winter from the 360-degree ocean view.
The must-try cuisine of Rishiri and Rebun Island!
Gourmet food is another thing to look forward to. As represented by the nationally known sea urchin and Rishiri kelp, there are a variety of gourmet foods that can only be found here.
Other delicacies include fresh, fatty hokke (hokke), which is in season from July to September, and Rishiri Island's luxurious ramen noodles with dashi broth made from Rishiri kelp and toppings of seafood.
Access to Rishiri Island and Rebun Island
There are two ways to get to the islands: by plane and by ferry. If you choose to fly, Hokkaido Air System's flights connecting Sapporo Okadama Airport and Rishiri Island are convenient. It connects Sapporo and the island in about 55 minutes.
There are also ferry services from Wakkanai to Rishiri Island and Rebun Island, and you can also take a ferry to and from Rishiri and Rebun Islands.
Do: ...and that's all the explanation I have for this reservation. Please enjoy yourselves.
Yoo: Here are some souvenirs for you, Usa! I made it!
Customer: Thank you very much! When I go back to the island, I'll come back to tell you what I think.
