The 73rd Sapporo Snow Festival will be held for the first time in three years! Ice instruments will appear in Odori 2-chome, and when they are played, they will be linked to the Sapporo TV Tower performance. What on earth will they be like?

The ice instrument performance is linked to the Sapporo TV Tower!

At the "Let's all make a Sapporo night view! Let's play ice instruments and light up the Sapporo TV Tower!" event held at Odori 2-chome, "Ice Marimba" and "Ice Timpani" will appear at the venue. This is a new initiative in which the surrounding lights and the Sapporo TV Tower's production will be linked to the performance.

Anyone can actually play the ice instruments and manipulate the surrounding effects, which is sure to be an experience never before seen.

By the way, there will also be special live performances by professional musicians demonstrating their skills from 17:00 to 17:10 on the first day of the event, Saturday, February 4th and Tuesday, February 7th.

A special sound and light show will also be held at the Snow Miku snow sculpture.

The venue will also feature a snow sculpture of "Snow Miku (Hatsune Miku)," a character that supports Hokkaido, and the "SNOW MIKU 2023 Special Sound and Light Show" will be held every day from 17:55 to 22:00 (for 5 minutes starting at 55 and 25 minutes past the hour) during the event period. A mini show will be held to liven up the snow sculpture with the event theme song "SnowMix♪" of the "SNOW MIKU 2023" festival that supports Hokkaido and lighting up the venue.

These initiatives will be carried out by NoMaps, an organization that holds a festival in Hokkaido focusing on technology, entertainment, and creativity, and will also serve as a demonstration experiment of the COUGEN system, a technology and application developed by Crypton Future Media, Inc. that synchronizes sound and light.

We are very excited about this new initiative that will take place at the Sapporo Snow Festival!
