What is the "ice instrument performance experience" that will appear at the Sapporo Snow Festival? What is the linkage with the Sapporo TV Tower?
The 73rd Sapporo Snow Festival will be held for the first time in three years! An ice instrument will appear in Odori venue 2-chome, and when it is played, it will be linked to the performance of the Sapporo TV Tower. What is it all about?
Ice musical instruments and the Sapporo TV Tower are interlocked!
The "Sapporo Nightscape Created by Everyone" will be held at the Odori 2-chome venue! Let's light up the Sapporo TV Tower by playing ice instruments! Ice Marimba" and "Ice Timpani" will appear at the venue. When they are played, the surrounding lights and the performance of the Sapporo TV Tower will be synchronized with their performance.

The public will be able to play ice musical instruments, and will have an unprecedented experience of manipulating the surrounding scenery.

On the first day of the event, February 4 (Sat.) and 7 (Tue.), from 5:00 to 5:10 p.m., professional musicians will perform a special live concert to demonstrate their performance.
Special sound and light show at the Snow Miku snow sculpture will also be held.
A snow sculpture of Snow Miku (Hatsune Miku), a character supporting Hokkaido, will also be installed at the same site, where a "SNOW MIKU 2023 Sound and Light Special Show" will be held from 17:55 to 22:00 daily during the festival period (5 minutes from every hour 55 minutes and 25 minutes). A mini show will be held to enliven the snow sculptures with "SnowMix♪," the event theme song of "SNOW MIKU 2023," a festival in support of Hokkaido, and a lighting performance.

NoMaps, a Hokkaido-based festival organizer focusing on technology, entertainment, and creativity, will be involved in these measures, which will also serve as a demonstration test of the COUGEN system, a technology and application developed by Crypton Future Media Inc. to synchronize sound and light. The event will be held at the Sapporo Snow Festival.

*The experience may be temporarily cancelled in case of a large number of visitors, inclement weather, or equipment failure.
*Registration for the experience will begin at 16:30 on the day of the event. Numbered tickets will be distributed in case there are too many people who wish to participate. Please note in advance that the number of numbered tickets is limited.
*You will not be able to experience the "SNOW MIKU 2023 Sound and Light Special Show" (5 minutes from 17:55 / 18:25 / 18:55 / 19:25 on each day), and during the special live performance on February 4 and 7 (17:00-17:10).
