Mashu Bath Sauna, a bath sauna that looks like a bath but is a real sauna inside, will open on April 9, 2023 on the premises of TESHIKAGA HOSTEL MISATO, a guesthouse in Teshikaga in spring 2023! This is the first time in Hokkaido that a bus that used to transport people has been transformed into a sauna.

A new landmark in Teshikaga

The Bath Sauna was born out of the desire to create a new landmark for the residents of Teshikaga, with a "Mashu blue" exterior, the same color as Lake Mashu. The moment you open the door, you will begin an authentic sauna experience surrounded by the aroma of cypress and herbs.

Inside the bath is an authentic sauna

The bath features a bench with a combination of gentle curves, and behind it is a wood-burning stove and stones, allowing you to experience temperatures in excess of 100°C. You can also adjust the temperature depending on where you sit.

In addition, the stones are watered with herb water from Fattoriacco, an herb farm in Teshikaga. Visitors can also enjoy the aroma of organic herbs.

Available in the morning and at night & refreshing with sound

Morning and evening saunas are also available. The sauna and shower rooms have high quality speakers and healing music to promote refreshment.

Outside air and water bath in the great outdoors where you can feel extraordinary

You can also feel extraordinary in the outside air and water bath in the great nature of Teshikaga, including a water bath in a milk tank for dairy farming.

As the name suggests, the Mashu Bath Sauna looks like a bath, but inside is a sauna with a real wood-burning stove. The sauna room is made of cypress wood and features curved benches inspired by the shape of Lake Mashu. The herbal herbal lowru is made with herbs from a local organic farm, Fattoria Ricco, and we will select the herb that best suits your body from among four different types. You can drink as much herbal water as you want!
