Bihoro Pass is known as a "world-class view," offering a stunning landscape.👀
Below you can see Lake Kussharo, Japan's largest caldera lake, as well as Mount Iō, the Shiretoko Mountain Range, and more.
It's a spot you'll want to visit again and again, as it shows different faces depending on the angle, season, and time of day.📷
Migratory Birds (Shintotsukawa Town)
This is Fukuroji-numa Swamp in Shintotsukawa Town. Many migratory birds come here to rest in the spring and fall.
It's a little-known hidden gem, and the sight of them taking off from their roost at sunrise is breathtaking.

This is an important stopover for various migratory birds, especially swans that arrive around March each year.🦢
The sight of them taking off so beautifully and powerfully is truly moving.
When you visit, please be sure to follow the rules and enjoy watching the birds in their natural state.☺
Cherry Blossoms and Goryokaku Tower (Hakodate City)
Goryokaku Park in Hakodate is a famous cherry blossom spot, one of the last places in Japan to see them in full bloom.
In 2023, due to the warm weather, they reached their peak earlier than usual.
While it gets very crowded during the cherry blossom season, I was able to enjoy it peacefully at night with fewer people.

Did everyone get to enjoy the cherry blossoms this year?🌸
Goryokaku Park in Hakodate is famous as a tourist destination, but it's also a very popular spot for cherry blossom viewing!
There are about 1,500 cherry trees within the fort... what a magnificent sight!✨
