Yaezakura are a type of cherry blossom that blooms later than others 🌸
They are named for their multiple layers of petals, which create a "double bloom"!
Since the cherry blossoms bloomed early this year, we hope that even those who missed them were able to enjoy the yaezakura 👀
Cape Erimo at Night (Erimo Town)
This is Cape Erimo, the southernmost point of Hokkaido. It's a place where strong winds often blow, so much so that there's a facility called Kaze no Yakata (House of Wind) where you can experience the wind.
If you look out at the sea, you can see seals, and the night sky is so beautiful with stars that it's a sight you must see at least once.

Cape Erimo is located at the tip of the Hidaka Mountains.
It's a very windy area, said to have over 260 days a year with winds of 10 meters per second or more, and it's also a popular spot for sunrise and sunset 🌅

Jozankei Shrine's Koinobori (Sapporo City)
This photo shows the Koinobori (carp streamers) event held at Jozankei Onsen!
It was wonderful to see about 400 carp streamers swimming gracefully.

Jozankei is one of Hokkaido's leading hot spring resorts, about an hour from central Sapporo ♨
The Jozankei Onsen town holds a Koinobori event every year from April to May 🎏
They collect precious, memory-filled carp streamers that are no longer used at home and use them to colorfully decorate the hot spring town.
Please come and see it for yourself when it's held next year 👀
