Set in Sapporo's Kita 24-jo! Popular Manga "Snack Basue" Gets an Anime Adaptation
The popular manga "Snack Basue," set in the Kita 24-jo area of Sapporo and serialized in Shueisha's "Weekly Young Jump" since 2017, is finally getting an anime adaptation!
What kind of story is "Snack Basue"?
The story is set not in Susukino, Hokkaido's largest entertainment district, but five stations away in Kita 24-jo. In this neighborhood lies "Snack Basue," a fun bar run by Mama Basue and the assistant manager, Akemi. The manga's main appeal is the laughter that ensues from the interactions between the quirky regulars and first-time customers who visit the bar. The first key visual for the anime has now been released.
With the anime adaptation confirmed, the series was featured with its first-ever opening color pages in the issue of Weekly Young Jump released on Thursday, June 15. Furthermore, its momentum is growing with the release of the 13th volume of the "Snack Basue" manga on Monday, June 19.
