Enjoy Tokachi at Wakka no Mori, a glamping and camping facility supervised by a winery!
Glamping facility "Wakka no Mori" was established in Shimizu Town in September 2022. The first glamping season since its opening has arrived. We have experienced glamping at Wakka no Mori, which is perfect for summer!
Glamping is a relaxing way to forget about the hectic pace of everyday life.
Wakka means "clean water" in the Ainu language. Wakka Forest is a vast expanse of nature nurtured by the clear, clean water flowing from the Hidaka Mountains, and is home to Japan's first three dome tents designed for extremely cold climates and an auto-camping area.
Upon arrival and looking around, one can see the green leaves on the white birch trees and smell the fragrance of the grass and trees as one listens to the birdsong. Birches spread out in the forest all around you, and you listen to the sound of birdsong and trees swaying in the wind, and take a deep breath to refresh yourself. It is a relaxing place to get away from the hectic pace of everyday life.
There are many ways to enjoy yourself! Enjoy sauna, forest bathing, or just be yourself!
In Wakka Forest, you can take a walk in the nature where forests and rivers spread out, and you can also enjoy a tent sauna as an option. The sauna in the nature is full of elements that will make you relax, such as a fox peeking out of your face or the sound of a babbling river!
We also recommend drinking outside with a glass of Michi-grown wine made at the Aizawa Winery. These wines are popular and very rare, but since the Aizawa Winery operates, you can drink almost all kinds of wines! Sparkling, red wine, you can compare various kinds of wine. Couples, friends, and families can all have a great time here.
