A base for marine leisure activities with a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean

Mitsuishi Roadside Station is located in Mitsuishi Seaside Park along National Route 235, which runs along the coastline of the Hidaka region in southern Hokkaido. It offers a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean, and is close to a fully-equipped auto campground, the Mitsuishi Konbu Hot Spring "Kurasan," and the Hidaka Fisheries Cooperative Association "Specialty Products Sales Center," making it a popular base for marine leisure activities.

It's especially popular with campers and families in the summer. Playing on the beach and having a BBQ while looking out at the ocean is a special experience! The campsite can be used for day trips as well as overnight stays.
I tried "tsubu soba" at a restaurant I was interested in!

If you come to Mitsuishi Roadside Station, be sure to stop by this restaurant in the parking lot, which has an impressive sign that reads "Lighthouse Tsubu Kushiyaki."

This restaurant serves dishes made with Mitsuishi's specialty kelp and whelk, and "Tsubu Soba" is one of its popular dishes.

Tsubu soba 1,000 yen
The combination of the dark soy sauce soup with kelp stock, soba noodles, and whelks is outstanding! It's a delicious dish that will definitely make you want to come back and enjoy the bounty of the sea. According to the manager, the "Lighthouse Whelk Skewers" are also very popular and sell out quickly.
