Camping, gourmet food, and hot springs! When it comes to marine leisure, Shinhidaka's "Mitsuishi Roadside Station" is the place to go.
Head to the observation deck to watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean!

And near the Mitsuishi roadside station, there is an observation deck that offers a panoramic view of the campsite and the ocean. The ocean view during the day is of course spectacular, but the view at dusk is also impressive.

To reach the observation deck, climb the stairs next to the vermilion torii gate.

When you arrive at the observation deck, you'll be greeted by a panoramic view of the ocean below! If you're lucky, you'll be able to see a picturesque view of the sun setting from the orange sky into the sea.
Enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Pacific Ocean and local cuisine at "Kurasan"!

After playing in the sea and exploring the surrounding area, head to Mitsuishi Konbu Onsen "Kurasan" to reset your tiredness from the day. Here, you can enjoy not only the hot springs but also the exquisite gourmet food of Mitsuishi.

From the open-air bath, designed to resemble a ship, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and a sense of freedom. You can enjoy watching the sunset while listening to the cries of seagulls, or bathing under the stars while being surrounded by the sound of the waves. It's truly an exquisitely relaxing experience. By the way, the bath contains kelp from Mitsuishi, which moisturizes your skin with its minerals.

Also, before or after the hot spring, we recommend visiting the restaurant "Hatago" located inside "Kurasan"! Here, you can eat steak bowls made with "Mitsuishi Beef", a brand of beef that Mitsuishi in Shinhidaka Town is proud of. The fat is sweet and the meat is irresistibly tender! With every bite, the flavor of the meat juice and sauce fills your mouth.

The shop has a wide selection of local specialties that are only available in the Hidaka region, such as Hidaka kelp and Mitsuishi yokan. Be sure to stop by to look for souvenirs.
