Adorable 'Snow Fairy' Long-Tailed Tits in Tsurui Village & More | Hokkaido Mirai Note (94)
Puffy Long-Tailed Tits
Tsurui Village, located in eastern Hokkaido, is famous for its red-crowned cranes, but it's also home to many other wild birds.
Among them, the idol-like Shima Enaga (long-tailed tit) can often be seen flitting about♪
They're hard to find, but it's so endearing how they always visit their secret spots.

Known as the "snow fairy," the Shima Enaga is so white and fluffy that just looking at it is incredibly soothing!
With the recent Shima Enaga boom, you can find lots of merchandise and even food items inspired by these cute birds.✨
They're just as adorable in person, so be sure to visit a Shima Enaga hotspot to look for them!👀

In Hokuryu Town, known as the "Village of Sunflowers," you can enjoy a breathtaking view of vibrant sunflowers blooming as far as the eye can see.🌻
The Sunflower Festival is held around early August when the flowers are in full bloom!
The appearance of the sunflowers varies each year depending on the weather and temperature, so be sure to look forward to next year's display.
The Refreshing Yamabiko Falls
With the recent heatwave, I went to Yamabiko Falls to cool down.
I went behind the waterfall, got drenched in the spray, and soaked up plenty of refreshing negative ions.
I'd love to visit again during the autumn foliage season.

This summer, many of you probably went to the sea, rivers, or waterfalls to cool off.🏞
Yamabiko Falls is an "urami no taki," a waterfall that you can view from behind, allowing you to enjoy it from various angles!
In winter, the waterfall freezes into a single, mystical pillar of ice.❄ It's a spot that can be enjoyed in the upcoming seasons as well.
