The romantic comedy 'Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!', set in Kitami City, Hokkaido, will begin airing on TV Tokyo, TV Hokkaido, and BS TV Tokyo every Monday at 24:30 starting January 8, 2024 (Mon). To celebrate the broadcast, pop-up stores will also be held in Ikebukuro and Sapporo.

'Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!' is a romantic comedy manga by Kai Ikada, set in Kitami City, Hokkaido. The latest, 11th volume of the manga is currently on sale. Thanks to his roots, Kai Ikada, a native of Kitami City, Hokkaido, published a one-shot version of 'Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!' set in his hometown on 'Shonen Jump+' in January 2019. The one-shot was so well-received that serialization on 'Shonen Jump+' began in September 2019. Now, five years after the one-shot's publication, it is finally being adapted into an anime.

Pop-Up Store to be Held at Sapporo PARCO

The series' first-ever pop-up stores will be held in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, and Sapporo, Hokkaido. The pop-up stores will feature original merchandise with newly drawn illustrations inspired by Hokkaido (Kitami City), the setting of the story, as well as new chibi-style illustrations. Visitors can also enjoy taking commemorative photos with life-sized character panels specially drawn for the event. This is another exciting event to look forward to, along with the anime.
