Dosanko Gyaru wa Namara Menkoi" is a love comedy manga set in Kitami City, Hokkaido, written by Kai Ishikada. The latest 11 volumes of the comic are currently on sale. As Ishida Umi himself is from Kitami City, Hokkaido, he published "Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi" in "Shonen Jump+" in January 2019, which was drawn in the city's hometown. The read-through was so well received that it was subsequently serialized in "Shonen Jump+" starting in September 2019. Five years have passed since the publication of the reading version, and now the anime adaptation has finally come to fruition.

The first POP UP stores will be held in Ikebukuro, Tokyo and Sapporo, Hokkaido, featuring original goods with newly drawn illustrations and deformed illustrations inspired by Hokkaido (Kitami City), the setting of the work.
