This is the famous torii gate standing in the sea at Shosanbetsu.
It's a wonderful spot with a campsite, onsen (hot springs), and accommodations nearby. We highly recommend a visit!

On the way back from a lake in Yubari City, we came across this train and stopped by. We were surprised to find that you could go inside and that it was so well-preserved. I took this photo while imagining the days when this train was still in service.
