An architectural work crafted with affection
We spoke with the creator, Mecyan, who told us that this Hokkaido Shrine was built by a team of members who regularly enjoy building in Minecraft. They have a fondness for Japanese architectural styles and buildings in Hokkaido, and have also built the Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade and Otaru's Asari Station in Minecraft.

The photo-realistic quality of their work conveys their love for each building. We look forward to seeing what kind of creations they will come up with next.
