Every day, Tetsuro and Tochiro try to say hello, but the cat always responds by arching its back in a threatening 'you wanna go?' pose. Their earnest yet slightly pitiful attempts have become a hot topic, and some fans secretly look forward to the next installment of the 'You Wanna Go?' series.

An Interview with Their Owner

We spoke with the owner about Tetsuro and Tochiro, who are watched over by many people through social media.

When did they come to live with you?

They are brothers and came to our home in April 2018. We usually call them 'TetsuTochi' for short.

The brothers were born in Okinawa Prefecture. We met them through a veterinarian in Hakodate, Dr. Uchida, who was working with a rescue organization in Okinawa to find them a new home in Hakodate.

#How they became our mascot dogs

Rescued as brothers in Okinawa. Ramat Hakodate brought them over.

After my five large dogs passed away and I was dog-less, Sasaki-san from the dagashi (cheap sweets) shop, who is friends with Ramat, told me, 'There are some great dogs available.'

Me: 'I'm done with dogs...😔'
↓
'Just go meet them.'
↓
'Okay, but I'm just meeting them!'
↓
Ended up adopting both of them.

We also have a cat at home, and they are very gentle, so they all get along well.

"You can smell my paw pads."

What are Tetsuro and Tochiro like?

They both laugh a lot and do silly things.

And they are the best of friends.

"Just casually eating my chicken udon under intense pressure."

Very interested in the soft-serve ice cream.

Overjoyed with the pet massager.

Also, even though they were born in Okinawa, they love the snow.
