A Golden Carpet of Canola Flowers in Takikawa & More: Hokkaido Mirai Note (106)
Welcome to Hokkaido Mirai Note, a collection of wonderful Hokkaido scenery captured and shared by you! Here are three carefully selected photos from the project. Enjoy these views of Hokkaido that we want to preserve for the future.
Canola Fields and a Steel Tower (Takikawa City)
I took this photo because I was struck by the contrast between the canola fields and the power transmission tower.
I hope it gives you the feeling that the canola fields stretch on forever beyond the tower.

What a stunning view of a vast canola field that looks like a yellow carpet 👀!
Every year from mid to late May, when the flowers are in full bloom, Takikawa City holds a "Canola Flower Festival."
A special venue is set up with popular photo spots and food stalls, so be sure to visit during next year's canola season!
A Brown-eared Bulbul Surrounded by Plum Blossoms (Sarabetsu Village)
The plum village is enveloped in full blooms and a sweet fragrance.

A lovely shot of a cute brown-eared bulbul that looks like it's enjoying the blossoms 📷
These fleeting moments of daily life are so heartwarming.
We hope to see it again amidst the changing scenery of the seasons!
Night Cherry Blossoms and Matsumae Castle (Matsumae Town)
These are the famous cherry blossoms of Matsumae Castle. They are lit up at night.
They also reflect beautifully in the moat.
It's a bit of a distance from Sapporo, but I highly recommend visiting at least once.

One of Hokkaido's most famous cherry blossom spots 🌸
The combination of the historic Matsumae Castle and the cherry blossoms is a breathtaking sight you must see at least once.
Various events are held to coincide with the cherry blossom season, so be sure to enjoy them along with your sightseeing.
