1 [Southern Hokkaido] Hakodate City Goryokaku Hoshinoyume (Dream of the Star)

The moat of Goryokaku Park in winter is illuminated with about 2,000 light bulbs, depicting the shape of the Goryo Star.
On the first day of the festival, Sunday, November 29, fireworks will be launched at 4:45 p.m. to light up the night sky of Hakodate.
Goryokaku Tower will extend its opening hours until 19:00, and visitors can enjoy the illumination from the tower's observation deck.

2 [Central Hokkaido]Sapporo City The 40th Sapporo White Illumination

The Sapporo White Illumination, one of the three most popular illumination events in Japan, is one of the most colorful winter events in Sapporo!
Held annually since 1981, various types of lights line Odori Park, Ekimae-dori and Minami Ichijo-dori.
The main "Odori venue" has various themed illuminations and has become a popular date spot in Sapporo!

3 [East Hokkaido]Hiroo Town Hiroo Santaland Illumination

Hiroo Santaland is the only Santaland in Japan recognized by Norway as the home of Santa Claus.
The venue, Daimaruyama Forest Park, is illuminated at night with approximately 150,000 lights, illuminating the night sky of Tokachi.
There are many spots for the whole family to enjoy, such as the "Santa's Bell" zone, where you can ring the bell while making a wish, and "Santa's House" where Christmas goods are sold and exhibited!

4 [Central Hokkaido]Otaru City/Yoichi Town Otaru/Yoichi Yuki Monogatari

Otaru City

The Otaru/Yoichi Yukimonogatari takes place in Otaru City, one of Hokkaido's most popular tourist destinations, and its neighbor town, Yoichi.
The "Blue Canal," in which approximately 10,000 LED lights illuminate the Otaru Canal in blue, and the "Wine Glass Tower" inside the Canal Plaza are very popular.
In Yoichi Town, "Amber Dream" will be set up with approximately 8,000 twinkling lights inspired by whiskey, warmly welcoming visitors to the town.

5 [Central Hokkaido]Toyako Onsen Illumination Tunnel, Toyako Town

Toyako Town

An illumination of about 400,000 lights will be illuminated in the "Nigiwai Plaza" in the center of the Toyako Onsen spa resort.
The 70-meter-long tunnel will be illuminated in a variety of colors, illuminating the historic hot spring resort in a fantastic way.
The illumination is held from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., so it is recommended to enjoy it after warming up at Lake Toya Onsen.

6 [Hokkaido North] Shimukappu Village Ice Town "Ice Village

The Ice Village, which appears only on winter nights, is a winter tradition in Tomamu. 10 ice domes stand side by side on a 3.2 hectare site.
Since its birth in the winter of 1998, the Ice Village has continued to offer experiences that can be enjoyed only in cold weather.
This year, the Ice Milk Cafe and Ice Fruit Shop have newly opened, and the Ice Terrace and Ice Hotel offer many experiences that can be enjoyed only in the cold!

7 [Hokkaido]Asahikawa City Asahikawa Machiakari Illumination 2020

The "Asahikawa Street Illumination 2020" will be held from November 28 (Sat.) in four areas in the center of Asahikawa City. The warm light will soothe the hearts of Asahikawa citizens.
Each area will be decorated in a different style, brightening and brightening the snowy streets.
The "Friendly Illumination," the first of its kind in Japan to be set up in a "pedestrian paradise," is a perfect spot for a winter evening stroll, with a variety of lights that make walking a pleasure!
