It looks like he is doing some kind of work using a wooden Hokkaido. And the accompanying comment is very surreal... This strange post has become a hot topic on social media.
Ugh
Wakkanai stabbed

Quoted from @kibori_no_konno's post
When a photo was posted of a wooden Hokkaido, the northernmost point of Wakkanai, stuck in the stomach, it garnered over 60,000 likes on X. Users commented, "Wow, that's scary," "Hokkaido was a weapon...?", "This is a combat-ready Cape Soya," and some even said, "What will happen next!?" and "I want to know what Hokkaido is used for." What exactly is this wooden Hokkaido?
The real thing is a wood carving by Kiborinokonno! A new and sophisticated world of art

In fact, the poster is "Kiborinokonno," a woodcarving artist who is a hot topic on social media and TV. The Hokkaido made from the wood in the image was part of a woodcarving art piece currently on display at the "Kiborinokonno Exhibition" currently being held in Sapporo. Among the intricate woodcarvings by Kiborinokonno on display at the venue, "Gokatteya Yokan," a popular souvenir from Hokkaido, is also reproduced in an elaborate woodcarving. You can see the actual piece at the venue.
I carved a round can of yokan using wood.
The slightly transparent yokan, the intricate patterns and lettering on the packaging, and the thin threads extending from the yokan have all been reproduced by hand.
This time, we were able to create this product with the support of Gokatteya Honpo for the "Kiborinokonno Exhibition Sapporo."

There are also a variety of other amazing wood carvings, including food that looks just like the real thing and a raw egg that looks transparent! There is even a reproduction of a famous sweet that is familiar to Hokkaido residents.

The wooden carving of "Osuimono" was unveiled for the first time in Sapporo. It is surprising that no transparent liquid or resin is used at all.

Speaking of Hokkaido! A variety of sweets are perfectly reproduced
A quiz corner where both children and adults can get serious
Furthermore, the "Kiborinokonno Exhibition" will feature a quiz corner called "Which is the Wood Carving?" where visitors can try to identify look-alike wood carvings mixed in with the real thing.

The Domingo editorial team also tried it, and got 16 out of 24 correct, which is a pretty high level of difficulty! They look so similar that even if you squint, it's hard to tell the difference between the wood carvings... Give this quiz a try, which both children and adults can get addicted to.
