Candles and projection mapping light up Jozankei in winter at "Jozankei Onsen Yuki Touro 2025"
The "Snow Art Festival" will be held again this year in Jozankei, a hilltop location overlooking Jozankei Onsen. Approximately 1,000 handmade snow candles will envelop the temple grounds in a warm light, and in the "Forest of Prayer" area deep within the temple grounds, projection mapping and illuminations that combine nature and digital elements unique to Jozankei will be displayed, creating a mystical atmosphere in the snowy valley.
Additionally, the "Yuki Touro CAMP Festival" will be held from 18:00 to 21:00 on Sunday, January 26th and Monday, January 27th. In a campsite-like atmosphere, you can experience chopping firewood, making a bonfire, and using a tent sauna, and food and drinks such as chicken BBQ, wine, and sweet sake will also be available for purchase.
