At Hokkaido's premier winter event, the Sapporo Snow Festival, snow sculptures of Sanrio's popular characters My Melody and Kuromi are making an appearance! The sculpture, located at the Odori Site 11-chome, features a special design for "My Melody's 50th Anniversary & Kuromi's 20th Anniversary." The Sapporo Snow Festival is a massive winter event that attracts over two million visitors from Japan and abroad every year. In 2025, it will be held for eight days from February 4th (Tue) to February 11th (Tue, holiday) at various locations in Sapporo, including the main Odori Site. A major highlight will be the commemorative snow sculpture for "My Melody's 50th Anniversary & Kuromi's 20th Anniversary," located at the Odori Site 11-chome International Square (east side). It's sure to be a huge attraction for fans and tourists visiting the snow festival.

A Must-See! Special Light-Up Collaboration with Snow Miku

In addition to the snow sculpture display, you can also enjoy a special light-up show. Next to the "My Melody's 50th Anniversary & Kuromi's 20th Anniversary" snow sculpture, you'll find the "Snow Miku: Crystal Snow Ver." snow sculpture, featuring the character who supports Hokkaido. At night, these two sculptures will collaborate for a magical light-up display.

This light-up show will feature two performances. One is set to a cover of the song "KAWAII FESTIVAL" from Sanrio Puroland's "Miracle Gift Parade," performed by Hatsune Miku. The other is set to "Crystal Snow," the theme song for "SNOW MIKU 2025," a festival where Snow Miku supports Hokkaido.

This light-up uses "COUGEN," a PC application developed by Crypton Future Media that directly controls lighting (DMX) using music (MIDI), allowing for a one-of-a-kind performance where light and sound are perfectly synchronized.
