Savor Exquisite Goat Milk Sweets at Petite Chèvre HOKKAIDO in Sapporo's Odori District!
Located in Aurora Town, an underground shopping area in central Sapporo, "Petite Chèvre" is a delightful shop selling a variety of sweets made from goat milk, including soft serve ice cream and cream puffs. It's the perfect spot to casually drop by. Even in Hokkaido, the kingdom of dairy, goat milk is a rarity, but its taste is surprisingly refreshing and absolutely exquisite! Let's dive into the delicious world of goat milk sweets you can enjoy right in the heart of Sapporo.
The shop is located right in front of "Kotori no Hiroba" (Little Bird Square) in Aurora Town
Premium Goat Milk from Our Own Farm

All the goat milk used in Petite Chèvre's products comes from their own farm in the Hidaka region of Hokkaido. It is one of the largest goat farms in Japan, with about 600 goats. To produce high-quality milk, they are committed to raising the goats in a stress-free environment, allowing them to grow freely. On sunny days, they are also let out to pasture.
After milking, the milk is immediately cooled to prevent any decline in quality, then pasteurized at a low temperature and bottled right away. The process from milking to bottling involves minimal contact with air, which preserves the fresh-from-the-farm taste and results in a flavor that has almost no gaminess.
The shop has tables and chairs, so you can eat your treats right after buying them
To enjoy the pure taste of goat milk, be sure to try the "Chèvre Milk." If you just want to give it a try, the small 150ml bottle is a great option. For those who want to enjoy it generously at home or use it in cooking, the 500ml or 900ml bottles are perfect. According to Petite Chèvre, the composition of goat milk is said to be closer to human breast milk than cow's milk, and it is rich in nutrients like amino acids and taurine, making it easy to digest and absorb.
The Most Popular Items: Soft Serve and Cream Puffs
The Goat Milk Soft Serve (380 yen) and Cream Puff (380 yen) are highly recommended!
While there are many sweets made with goat milk, the top recommendations are the "Goat Milk Soft Serve Ice Cream" and the "Goat Milk Cream Puff." The soft serve is the shop's number one bestseller! It has a rich flavor and a smooth texture, yet it leaves no heavy aftertaste, offering a clean, refreshing finish. It's the perfect size and taste for when you're craving a light sweet treat. It's no wonder that there's a constant stream of customers stopping by for a quick bite during their shopping trips in Odori.
You can add a goat-shaped cookie topping to your "Goat Milk Soft Serve" (+50 yen)
The "Goat Milk Cream Puff" features a cookie-dough choux pastry made with Hokkaido-grown wheat, generously filled with goat milk cream. This too has a rich flavor but a surprisingly light aftertaste. The texture of the cookie dough and the smoothness of the cream blend perfectly in your mouth, creating an exquisite taste. It's great to enjoy in the shop with some "Chèvre Milk" or coffee, as a takeaway snack for the office, a treat for your dessert time at home, or as a souvenir.
