Rokkatei is well-known for its classic Hokkaido souvenir, the "Marusei Butter Sandwich." But one of Rokkatei's "popular menu items that only a few in the know know about" is becoming a hot topic on social media.

[Important] To all Rokkatei fans living in Hokkaido Rokkatei's fresh cakes are great. They have been changing for a few years now, but the pace has accelerated. They are more filling and have a slightly more stylish flavor, while still retaining the traditional rustic feel. I recommend them.

It's actually Rokkatei's "fresh cake"! Rokkatei is famous for its individually wrapped souvenirs, but this fresh cake is a popular item among local fans that can only be purchased at directly managed stores in Sapporo (excluding the Sapporo main store and Jingu Chaya store). Posts on social media included comments from Rokkatei fans in Hokkaido such as "That's a great way to describe the traditional unsophistication!" and "It's simple and orthodox," as well as envious comments from fans outside Hokkaido who can't seem to buy it, such as "Damn you Hokkaido people!" and "This is the perspective from the north."
